Website link
Send people straight to a page, a menu or your app’s download link.
Style
Modules
SquareCorner markers
SquareMarker centerSquare (matches frame)
Only centers that scanned reliably with the square frame are offered.
How it works
How to make a QR code
Three steps, no sign-up. The code is drawn in your browser as you type.
Choose what it does
Pick a type: open a link, save a contact, join Wi-Fi, call a number, send a text or an email, or show plain text.
Add the details
Fill in the short form. The preview updates as you type and points out anything that’s missing.
Style it and download
Change the shapes and colors, add your logo or a frame if you like, then download a PNG or an SVG.
QR code types
QR codes for links, contacts, Wi-Fi and more
Seven kinds of QR code, each with a form that writes the format phones expect.
URL QR code for any website
Paste a web address and the code opens it when scanned: a menu, a sign-up form, a portfolio or an app download page. Leave out https:// and QRnxt adds it for you.
vCard QR code for your contact details
Share your name, phone, email, company, job title and work or home address as a vCard. Phones offer to save it as a contact in one tap, which suits business cards, résumés and name badges.
Wi-Fi QR code to share your network
Guests scan to join your Wi-Fi without typing the password. It works with WPA/WPA2, WEP and open networks, including hidden ones. Print it for the fridge, the front desk or a café table.
Phone number QR code
Scanning opens the phone’s dialer with your number ready to call. Include the country code so it works for callers anywhere.
SMS QR code with a ready-made message
Opens a text message to your number with the words already written, so people only need to press send. Handy for opt-ins, votes and quick feedback.
Email QR code
Opens a new email to your address with the subject already filled in, for support requests, RSVPs or orders.
Plain text QR code
Shows a short message on the screen: a note, a serial number or a scavenger-hunt clue. Nothing opens and no internet is needed. Shorter text makes a simpler code that scans faster.
Styles
Style your QR code, then check that it scans
Make the code match your brand. Every style QRnxt offers passed our scan tests, and your finished code is checked again before you download it.
Shapes and colors
Square, rounded, dot, liquid or bar modules in your own colors. A contrast check tells you when the colors are too close to scan well.
Corner markers
Six marker frames (square, soft, rounded, squircle, circle and leaf), each paired only with centers that scan well, in the code color or one of your own.
Your logo in the middle
Add a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo up to 2 MB at 10 to 22% of the width. Error correction goes up to H automatically, so the code still reads with its middle covered.
Frames
Add a “Scan me” caption or a card with a line of text under the code, such as your web address, for people who can’t scan.
Scan-checked before you download. QRnxt reads your styled code with two decoders, jsQR and ZXing, right in your browser. If either can’t read it, you’ll see why and get a one-tap fix.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about cost, privacy and how the codes work.
Is QRnxt really free?
Yes. Making and downloading QR codes is free, with no watermark on your code and no paid version. Make as many as you like.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There’s no account and no sign-up. Open the page, fill in the details and download your code.
Do QR codes from QRnxt expire?
No. QRnxt makes static QR codes: your link, contact details or Wi-Fi settings are written into the code itself. There’s no redirect or tracking in between, so the code keeps working for as long as what it points to exists, even if QRnxt is offline. It also means a printed code can’t be changed later, so test it before you print.
Will a styled QR code still scan?
QRnxt only offers shape combinations that passed our scan tests, and it checks your exact code as you style it with two decoders, jsQR and ZXing. If either can’t read it, you’ll see a warning and a one-tap fix before you download. Phone cameras vary, so do a test scan before printing.
Which file formats can I download?
PNG and SVG. The PNG is at least 1024 pixels wide, sharp enough for print and screens. The SVG is a vector file that scales to any size, which suits large prints and design tools.
Do you keep the logo I upload?
Your logo is drawn into the code in your browser. A copy is also uploaded to QRnxt’s storage over a secure link, and it’s deleted automatically after 7 days.
What happens to the details I type in?
None of it is stored. Your QR code is made in your browser, so the link, contact details, Wi-Fi password or message you type aren’t sent to QRnxt. The only file that leaves your device is a logo, if you add one.
